Turn to Dance – Latin American and Ballroom dance school
Leanne Herdman ANATD
As a member of the National Association of Teacher of Dancing, I am passionate about teaching Latin American and Ballroom dancing.
I especially love teaching children, to see their confidence and dance skills grow is highly rewarding. I am a firm believer of letting children work at their own pace, whilst encouraging them to reach their goals. With a background in fitness, as well as dance, I am also keen to encourage this great way of keeping fit, whilst having a good time.
In the younger classes, we include lots of party dances with basic footwork and rhythms hidden within the routines. Keeping energy levels high and the emphasis on fun.
The older children thrive on learning more complicated footwork & progressively harder routines. As children progress they have the opportunity to enter exams & competitions.
As well as children’s classes, we can also help with children’s parties, wedding dances, 1:1 lessons and school clubs.

“Turn to Dance has really helped my daughter’s co-ordination, whilst teaching her the basic ballroom steps in a contemporary and fun environment. Leanne is a wonderful dancer and able to relate with children of all ages to make dancing fun and nurture their talents”
